When did you begin running and why? I started 5 years ago. I was motivated by my daughter Morgan who ran cross country in HS. I continue to be inspired by her tenacity, and hard work.

Favorite Race Distance: Definitely not a 5k! Sprinting is my weakness. I prefer a 10 mile or half marathon.

PR's: I’d have to say the March Madness Half Marathon 2010 due to the intensely hilly course. My course PR is 1:54:54. Another recent PR is the Chicago 13.1 Half marathon on June 13th, I ran 1:52:39.

Tell us about a memorable race or event: My most memorable day is running 6 miles with the club on my first day (2 years ago) and realizing I could actually do it!

What are three favorite tunes on your ipod? Van Halen: Right Now, You Get What You Give: New Radicals, Under Pressure: Queen & David Bowie

Hobbies or leisure activities that you enjoy: Reading, fishing with my son Mathew and teaching group fitness classes.

What does your typical training schedule like? Well it doesn’t always follow the recommended training schedule, but I run 5.5 miles 4 days a week, and run the GER marathon training miles on Sundays.

How did you become involved with the club? I found the web site and was graciously welcomed to come try it out. I showed up one Sunday and realized what a great group of people I’d found. The rest is history.

Any upcoming running goals you would care to share: Making through each week during marathon training (without injury) is my goal!
