I am a total beginner. Where should I start?

A great start is to show up at one of our scheduled runs. We have runners and walkers of all abilities. You will find there will always be someone to run with.

Can I run with you whenever I want, or do I have to join?

Come to any of our runs and see if you would be interested in becoming a member. You can then decide if you want
to join. (You must be a member of the club to participate in our
training programs.)

Should I wait until I am in better shape?

No, don't wait! We have runners of all abilities, so there will be someone who runs at your pace. Many of the people
who start running with us say that they wish they had joined our group sooner. We have starter groups for beginners.

I am visiting the area, can I run with you?

You are very welcome to join us for any of our fun runs. You don't need to pay anything for an occasional run. Contact
our
Membership Chair or our Secretary for additional information.

Where are you located?

We are based in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, running mainly on the Illinois Prairie Path (DuPage County). For weekend runs
there is plenty of parking in the Metra parking lot at the Glen Ellyn train station. You should come dressed to run, as
there are no places to change clothes. We provide sports drink for our training programs in the Spring and Summer
and there are water fountains on the Prairie Path. Bring your own means of hydration for Winter runs.

How far do you run?

We divide up into different groups which run between 2 and 8 miles, at different paces. All of our runs have a
"no drop" rule, we don't leave anyone out on the path.
